shaft in the wheel

Isn't it irritating when one tiny little detail, which should be easy, doesn't work and holds up a big venture?
My project is hugely dependent on data. In fact, it is about data. How you manipulate it, how you find patterns, how you interpret stats- the whole thing is the (core of the) project.
And now, because of the stupid new ide, my data won't go into the database. It's a minuscule detail. Like seriously, it's puny-the kind you get in an assignment and then manage to solve in two minutes.
And yet, it's been two days and the database still remains empty. It's frustrating, and even more so, because we're working with netbeans and no one really knows anything about it. Wish I'd never converted!
